How do you control moisture and mould risk on long Medjool shipments?
We condition Medjool lots to a strict optimal moisture band (mid-20% range) to prevent fermentation during long sea transits.
Dates are packed in food-grade polyethylene liners inside 5kg master cartons, shipped at approximately 4°C, and monitored via continuous temperature data loggers and water-activity checks throughout transit to ensure pristine arrival condition.
Do your dates comply with Indonesian and EU MRL limits?
Yes. Our field programs use only active ingredients aligned with both EU and Indonesian Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs).
Every export batch is backed by ISO/IEC 17025 multi-residue Certificates of Analysis (COAs) from accredited laboratories, plus official Phytosanitary Certificates issued by the Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture.
Are Il Mondo dates Halal certified?
Yes. All Il Mondo date varieties are 100% plant-based and naturally Halal. Our facilities and processing procedures comply with Halal requirements, and Halal certificates are available upon request for markets requiring official documentation.

What is the difference between Medjool, Barhi, and semi-dry dates?
Medjool (Mejhoul): Large, soft, caramel-flavoured premium date — the highest-value variety, widely recognised by European and Gulf retail consumers.
Fresh Barhi: Harvested at the Khalal (crunchy, yellow) or Rutab (soft, amber) stage. Short shelf life — requires fast logistics. Popular in Middle Eastern and Asian fresh markets.
